Punta Cruz Watch Tower

The Punta Cruz Watch Tower is located in the town of Maribojoc, about 14 km west of Tagbilaran City. This triangular-shaped watch tower oversees the seas South of Bohol. From its windows at the top, you can see Cebu, Siquijor, and Mindanao. The Spanish had it build in 1796 as a look-out post against pirates and Muslim marauders, who at that time where a plague to the people of Bohol.

Today the Punta Cruz watch tower still provides an excellent view. The site now offers a small stall for buying food and drinks and makes an ideal place for picnic and swimming.

How to get there: At the Tagbilaran Integrated Bus Terminal in Dao, ride the bus going to Tubigon and ask the driver to drop you off at Punta Cruz. The watch tower is about 500 meters away from the highway.

Saint Padre Pio's Image in Baclayon Church Pillar

Allegedly, Saint Padre Pio's image mysteriously appeared in one of the pillars of Baclayon Church in Bohol.

The image is not very clear when viewed with the naked eye but once you point your digicam to the pillar, it become very apparent in the camera's LCD display.

These are the pictures I have taken during our trip to Bohol.
